We took our umbrella and went out. We walked down small streets with tons of shops with lace, tapestry, and “Belgium” chocolates. We bought a box of course. Yum! We walked over to the square where the “Belford Tower” is. The square was full of café’s. The tower bells were ringing all the time. It is very romantic especially in the rain. There was hardly anyone out, it was so peaceful and quite except for the sound of a bird here and there and the church and bells! Mike said it reminded him of “Bavaria.”

Marketplace also contained the City Hall and “Heileg Bloedbasiliek” that is part of “St. Basil’s Church”, which is said to have a vile of Christ’s blood. It was closed so we may try to go back tomorrow before we head for France.
